My name is Jessica and I am a commerce writer for SELF Magazine, which means I'm constantly scouting and writing about the best products in the beauty, fitness, and health and wellness worlds.

 

Previously, I was the beauty editor at Reviewed, USA TODAY's product review website. In that role, I wrote and edited stories about the best makeup and skincare products and practices, with a goal to de-mystify the beauty world (there's a lot of confusing jargon out there!) and help readers find the right items and routines for themselves.

I am an Emerson College graduate with a B.S. in journalism and a minor in marketing communication. My education primarily focused on reporting and writing in the journalism field, but I also pursued design- and branding-focused classes because I've always had a keen eye for aesthetics, and I believe presentation is everything (after all, a beauty product's packaging always made me more/less excited to test and review it!).
