RANDOLPH, N.H. (WHDH) - Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer while he was pulled over on Route 2 in Randolph, New Hampshire early Monday morning.
Officers responding to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Gorham Hill Road about 6:04 a.m. conducted a preliminary investigation that determined a 2016 Dodge 1500 and a 2010 Ford F350 had pulled over on the westbound side of the highway due to icy conditions when a tractor-trailer driver lost control and hit both vehicles, officials said.
The passenger of the pickup, Leo Croteau, 20, of Berlin, New Hampshire, was killed in the collision.
The pickup truck driver, John Beaudry, of Milan, was taken to Androscoggin Valley Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The condition of the tractor-trailer driver, identified as Daniel Donna, was not immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
